Therapy
Family therapy or family counseling is designed to address specific issues that affect the psychological health of the family, such as major life transitions or mental health conditions. It may be used as the primary mode of treatment or as a complementary approach. This means that a member of the family may be in treatment for individual therapy in addition to receiving family therapy; this all depends on individuals’ and families’ needs.

Therapy is helpful to increase well-being by learning how to cope with obstacles and overcome them. In fact, once the therapeutic truly starts, there is a “ricochet effect” that leads to a sense of accomplishment and empowerment to continue to grow and continue to become the best version of one self (increase self-esteem).

People in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals. Many find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware. Some people even go to ongoing therapy for self-growth.
