Individual
Psychotherapy

Individual therapy is a joint process between a therapist and a person in therapy. Different therapists have different approaches on how to initiate therapy; for me, I work collaboratively with clients on treatment goals and objectives often times related to increase and/or decrease a specific behavior, or simply to work towards inspiring change and improve overall quality of life. Individuals seek therapy for a wide range of issues that are difficult to overcome alone. Individual therapy is also referred to as therapy, psychotherapy, talk therapy or counseling.

Therapy is helpful to increase well-being by learning how to cope with obstacles and overcome them. In fact, once the therapeutic relationship and process truly start, there is a “ricochet effect” that leads to a sense of accomplishment and empowerment to continue to grow and continue to become the best version of one self (increase self-esteem).

People in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals. Many find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware. Some people even go to ongoing therapy for self-growth.
